Scope

This policy applies to any users of the Moves iOS app (Moves) services anywhere in the world. This policy applies to any users of the services of Moves or its affiliates anywhere in the world, and to anyone else who contacts Moves or otherwise submits information to Moves, unless noted below. This includes but is not limited to those who use Moves to:

• Share information regarding a social gathering, event, or any other related information.

• Receive information from other users regarding a social gathering, event, or any other related information.

• Share personal identifiable information

Moves provides services to users throughout the world. Moves App, LLC is the data controller for your information.

The Information We Collect

Moves App, LLC collects:

• Information that you provide through the Moves iOS app, such as, but not limited to when you create your Moves account or provide information regarding an event.

• Information created when you use our services

• Information from other sources, such as Moves’ partners and third parties whose APIs Moves may use.

• Information collected by services that Moves uses

Information You Provide

This includes information submitted when you:

• Create or update your Moves account, which may include your first name, last name, email, phone number, login name, password, and profile picture.

• Post an Event Card which can include information such as event location, title, description, phone number, date/time, and invited users

• Create a “group” within the app

• Request services through the Moves app

• Contact Moves, including for customer support

• Contact other Moves users through our services

Information created when you use our services

This includes:

• Location Information

• Depending on your app settings or device permissions, Moves may collect your precise or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS, IP address, and WiFi.

  • Moves may collect location information when the Moves is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on screen) of your device.

  • Users may use Moves without enabling Moves to collect their location information. However, this may affect the functionality available on your Moves app. For example, if you do not enable Moves to collect your location information, you will not be shown your location when you open the app and have trouble locating events near you.

Device Information

• We may collect information about the devices you use to access our services, including the hardware models, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information, and mobile network information.

Log Information

• When you interact with our services, we may collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with our services.

Information from other sources

These may include:

• Users providing feedback, such as as ratings or compliments

• Moves’ business partners through which you find friends, or any other apps or websites who use Moves's APIs or whose API Moves uses

• Publicly available sources

• Marketing service providers

Moves may combine the information collected from these sources with other information in its possession.

Moves collects and uses information to enable reliable, convenient and fun social interaction, among other services. We also use the information we collect:

• To enhance the safety and security of our users and services

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory. This service does not use these cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and to improve their services.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Safety and security

We use your data to help maintain the safety, security and integrity of our services. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the PII submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet using industry standard technology is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

1. With Moves subsidiaries and affiliates

We share information with our subsidiaries and affiliates to help us provide our services or conduct data processing on our behalf. For example, Moves may process or store information in the United States on behalf of its international subsidiaries and affiliates.

2. With Moves’ service providers and business partners

Moves may provide information to its vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, and other service providers or business partners.

3. For legal reasons or in the event of a dispute

Moves may share your information if we believe it is required by applicable law, regulation, operating agreement, legal process or governmental request.

• This includes sharing your information with law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties as necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, user agreements, or other policies, to protect Moves’ rights or property or the rights or property of others, or in the event of a claim or dispute relating to your use of our services.

• This also includes sharing your information with others in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.

• With your consent

Moves may share your information other than as described in this policy if we notify you and you consent to the sharing.

Information Retention And Deletion

Moves retains your information while your account remains active, unless you request deletion of your information or account in an email to movesappteam@gmail.com. In some cases we may retain certain information about you as required by law or other purposes as described in this section even if you delete your account. Moves retains your information while your account remains active, unless you ask us to delete your information or your account. Subject to the exceptions described below, Moves deletes or anonymizes your information upon request.

Subject to applicable law, Moves may retain information after account deletion:

1. If we are required to by applicable law; and/or in aggregated and/or anonymized form.

2. Moves may also retain certain information if necessary for its legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention and enhancing users' safety and security. For example, if Moves shuts down a user's account because of unsafe behavior or security incidents, Moves may retain certain information about that account to prevent that user from opening a new Moves account in the future.

Children’s Privacy:

We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Use of the app by a child under the age of 13 is prohibited by the Terms and Conditions of the app and accounts discovered to be operated by a child under the age of 13 will be terminated. Please contact us (movesappllc@gmail.com)  if you have information regarding a child under the age of 13 using this application and providing us with personal identifiable information.

Choice And Transparency

Moves provides means for you to see and control the information that Moves collects, including through:

• In-app notification settings

• Device permissions

• In-app ratings pages

• Marketing opt-outs

Privacy Settings

The Notification Settings menu in the Moves app gives users the the ability to set or update their preferences for receiving mobile notifications from Moves.

Device Permissions

Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without your consent. And these platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. The iOS platform will alert you the first time the Moves app wants permission to access certain types of data and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can edit the name, phone number and email address associated with your account through the Profile Settings menu in the Moves iOS app. You may also request access to, correction of, or a copy of your information by contacting Moves App, LLC at movesappteam@gmail.com.

Updates To This Policy

We may occasionally update this policy. If you use our services after an update, you consent to the updated policy. We may occasionally update this policy. We strongly recommend users frequently check this policy for changes in the policy and the latest information on our privacy practices. To the extent permitted under applicable law, by using our services after such changes, you consent to our updates to this policy.
